PowerSchool Server Reset- Please Read!

*** No action is needed for parents who have successfully established their PowerSchool accounts!

For those who had problems resetting their password, we have great news!  A PowerSchool server reset has resolved many of the issues. 

Parents who tried to reset their passwords, but didn’t get an email, should

complete this process again.

• Your username is your full email address, but it is case sensitive (based on the way you had it listed in Tyler when you established your parent account). 
• If you attempt to reset the password more than once, use the most recent email that the system sends. 
• The sender will be Oswego Community Unit School District via Rackspace.PowerSchool. Check within the subfolders of your email (junk/spam).
• The link is only valid for 24 hours from the time you request the reset. 

Instructions for Creating PowerSchool

STUDENT Portals

1. Access the PowerSchool Log-In Page
   
   
2. From the PowerSchool Student Portal website, click “Forgot Username or Password". Please note, you have to log into the Parent Portal website and reset your password before you are able to use the PowerSchool app.
   
   
3. Enter your STUDENT ID in the “Username” field and your SD 308 EMAIL ADDRESS in the “Email Address” field, and then click on “Enter”.
   
   
4. Reset your Password from the email you receive from PowerSchool.
   
   
5. Once you reset your PowerSchool Student Portal password, you can log into your PowerSchool Student Portal account. Your Username will remain your student ID number. 

PowerSchool App

You can download the app and log-in AFTER you've established your portal account on the PowerSchool website. 

Bus Route Information In PowerSchool August 10th

Bus route and stop information will be visible to parents (and Junior High and High School students) in PowerSchool on the web portal and on the app on August 10th. 

• This information will appear in the FORMS section.
• A tutorial video will be posted on the help video channel on YouTube. 
• In the portal, FORMS is the third selection on the left side menu. 
• In the app, along the bottom, click "more" then select FORMS.

**Parents will want to recheck route information on August 13th to verify no changes were made. 

LOCKER INFORMATION: Locker numbers and combinations can be found in the FORMS section of the PowerSchool portal and app. 

Schedule Release Information in PowerSchool

On Wednesday, Aug. 9 teacher assignments and schedules will be released for viewing in the PowerSchool portal and app at the times listed below.

10AM:  Schedule Release for High School, GOAL, East View and Pathways

  1PM:  Schedule Release for Junior High Schools

  4PM:  Schedule Release for Early Childhood and Elementary Schools

Student Fee Update

• Student fees will be posted in PushCoin no later than Sept. 5th.
• Parents will be notified when fees have been posted.
• Fees will be due Oct. 16th.
• Payment plan and waiver information will be included with the notice when fees post. 
• Forms and fees can be found on the Finance Department webpage.
