Message from the Principal:

We look forward to seeing all of you at our Art Show on Thursday.  The Scholastic Book Fair starts on Monday.  Please see the information below for more details. 

We completed the CAASPP state testing and the ELPAC testing for the school year.  I am very proud of our students for taking the test seriously and doing their best. 

Our 6th graders are getting excited for 6th grade camp (except for the 2 minute shower rule and no cell phones :)

Wishing all of you a nice weekend, and I hope you enjoy the pictures.

May 25:  Open House and Book Fair is open for sales 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

May 30 - June 2: 6th grade camp

May 31: DELAC meeting 1:30 at the High School

June 13:  3rd Trimester Awards Assembly

June 15:  6th grade Promotion 10:00 - 11:00 at Campo School

June 15:  Middle School Promotion at the high school

June 16:  Last Day of School - minimum day 1:15.

June 16: High School Graduation

August 14:  First day of School for the 2023-2024 school year

August 29:  Back to School Night

Students spent 10 character cards to have lunch with the principal, and they were able to bring two friends. We had so much fun laughing and enjoying the time together. It is humbling to have kids who want to spend some time just hanging out.  Love it!!

Mrs. Cochran's class witnessed the metamorphosis process, and they released the beautiful butterflies in the front of the school. 

How exciting to watch nature at its finest! 

Ms. Michelle from Descanso completed a guided art lesson with Ms. Cochran's class.  Their art work is so beautiful.  Awesome job first graders. 

Dr. Brannon, the principal for our Jr. High, and Ms. Kissel, Jr. High school counselor, talked to our 6th graders.  They talked about the new Jr. High that they will be attending next year.  Students were rate the different electives such as Spanish, art, and music. Students are super excited to be going to the Jr. High (except the idea school starts at 7:25).  We talked about practicing to get up early starting in August  LOL.

Mr. Etnire, ME High School Teacher, visited Ms. Alamillo's 6th grade class today to teach them about robots and coding.  Thank you Mr. Etnire for your time and sharing your passion. I know so many kids are inspired.  You're the best. 

Ms. Vowles brought in two ducks to share with her students, and the students were able to learn about ducks.  They grow so quickly. 

Our Safe School Ambassadors met today, and they were able to bring a friend.  They played two activities, and we ate ice cream sundaes.  One activities was to write a positive attribute about another student behind their back, and then students guess who belongs to the card based on those comments.  It was a positive and uplifting activity. Special thanks to Ms. D for organizing today's activity, and to: Ms. Kim, Ms. Chovan, Ms. Alamillo, and Dr. V for being part of this special group.  You are all awesome people.
