Last Week!

Believe it or not, we have made it to the end of the school year! I am so very proud of each of our dragons. They have all worked so hard this year. This is a fun, short week and we are excited for Field Day tomorrow.

We have a few of our Dragon staff members moving on from us next year and I want to say a very grateful thank you to each of them as the embark on their new journeys.

• Mrs. Briggs, our MTSS coordinator, will be heading to another elementary school in the district.
• Mrs. Crowley (also know as Ms. Lisa from Rainbow Room) will be stepping into a new role at Disney and Mrs. Goldstein from the Dragon Academy will be our new Rainbow Room para.
• Mrs. Nestler, Mrs. Chiang and Mrs. Steadman will be leaving our Dragon Academy for new adventures.
• Mrs. McCauley, our math support, will be retiring.
• Our beloved Mrs. Tayeb will also be retiring this year, after many wonderful years in the classroom.

Each of these amazing staff members have helped shape the lives of our dragons and we are forever grateful for them!

June is Pride Month

June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month, which is celebrated across SRVUSD. This resolution was passed and adopted on August 16, 2022 by the Board of Education. It is one of the many resolutions adopted by the Board. SRVUSD celebrates LGBTQ+ Pride Month because:

• The District is committed to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for every student and staff member. To accomplish this goal, we are engaged in efforts to create practices and initiatives to support students and staff who identify as LGBTQ+.
• June is an opportunity to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community, raise awareness of services, and foster dialogue to further our equity goals, to ensure that all students feel safe, welcome and included at school.
• Progress pride flags will be flown at the District Office and at all school sites for the entire month of June, to recognize the contributions made by members of the LGBTQ+ community and as a representation of our commitment to support our LGBTQ+ students and staff.

Last Call for Lost and Found!

Our Lost and Found will be donated after this week, so please take a few moments to look for lost water bottles, jackets, and lunch containers.
