Wonderful Old Post Families,
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to our school community. This time of year can bring a mix of emotions—excitement, anticipation, and sometimes a bit of stress—which is why it’s more important than ever that we lead with positivity and show grace to one another. Whether it's encouraging our students to finish strong or simply offering a kind word to a fellow parent or staff member, our shared efforts make a lasting difference. As we prepare for a well-deserved summer break, I encourage open and respectful communication to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for all. Let’s work together to create a positive and memorable end to the school year for our students!

Arrival & Dismissal:
With the warmer weather, your family may decide to shift your arrival and dismissal routines. In this case, please inform the school’s main office by calling 630-636-3400. We will shift our records to correctly list your family’s plans for a safe dismissal from school.
Please take a couple moments to review the arrival/dismissal procedures for this school year. Please remember that students cannot be on the playsets after school hours without adult supervision. There are no staff members monitoring these areas after school hours.
Assessments:
Another round of celebrations to our students, staff, and community for concluding all required standardized assessments this school year! There are many opportunities for students to show off what they know throughout the year, so it is a real celebration to reach this point. Hooray!
Ventra Card:
The Student Ventra Card is available to full-time students aged 7-20 years old enrolled in elementary or high school and it entitles the cardholder to reduced fare for trips taken Monday thru Friday between 5:30AM and 8:30PM on CTA and Pace transportation systems. Rides taken outside of these times will automatically be charged the full fare unless the student is under the age of 12 and a parent or guardian has taken the action to qualify for the Student/Child fare.*Visit ventrachicago.com/students for a breakdown of the reduced fares offered by CTA and Pace.
