Dear Las Lomitas Community,
As the colors of spring begin to bloom, so too does the growth and learning of our students. This season is a time of renewal, reflection, and celebration—an opportunity to recognize the incredible progress our children have made and the strong home-school partnership that supports them every step of the way.
With parent-teacher conferences nearly concluded, I want to express my deep appreciation for the meaningful conversations that have taken place. These moments of collaboration between families and educators strengthen the foundation of our shared commitment to student success. It is truly inspiring to see the dedication of our teachers and classified staff, who work tirelessly and selflessly in unison to nurture, guide, and support each child’s journey. Their unwavering commitment makes Las Lomitas a place where children flourish.
Thank you for being such an integral part of this community.
Together, we celebrate the progress of our students and look forward to the continued growth and joy this season brings. Las Lomitas - where every child matters, belongs, and thrives. Together we are LIONS! Please keep reading for more updates and information. Ubuntu,
Alain Camou |

| At Las Lomitas, March is all about celebrating the character trait of Respect. As one of our three core expectations—Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Respectful—respect is a cornerstone of our school community, guiding the way we learn and grow together.
March is also Women’s History Month, and we kicked off our first Lions' Pride assembly with a special shoutout to the incredible women who have shaped our lives. This week, we also embrace the Persian New Year, Nowruz, a celebration of renewal and new beginnings. To mark this occasion, students and staff will reflect on the importance of Spring, and we will showcase a Haft-Seen table near the main gate, displaying the seven traditional symbols of the season.
As always, we end our school-wide community circles with a Joke of the Week. This one was shared by one of our students:
A lady at a restaurant asked, "Waiter, waiter… how long will my pasta be?" The waiter replied, "Approximately 30 centimeters." |

Parent Education Opportunity at Las Lomitas |
The Friends One-Day Conference is a wonderful community event for adults and young people who stutter, their families and allies, and Speech Language Pathologists. It is an opportunity for families to come together and learn more about stuttering, supporting their child, and to begin building community. Visit our Bay Area website here to learn more and register! The day includes presentations, small discussion groups, panel presentations, and group activities. Children, teens, siblings, parents, and speech-language pathologists attend sessions geared specifically toward their individual needs. The Friends one-day conference is also a fantastic place for speech-language pathologists and students to learn more about stuttering, current treatments and the support available to people who stutter, while earning 0.55 CEUs.

We invite families to join us in celebrating our Science Wonders—the bright minds who ask big questions, test ideas, and bring learning to life! Join us in Cano Hall on March 22 at 2:00 pm.
Let’s cheer on our future innovators! |
