Principal's Message

4.17.25

Dear Prairie Point Families:

At Prairie Point, we’re working hard, learning new things, and doing our best to be kind and make good choices. School isn’t always easy, but we’re showing up for each other, staying positive, and making the most of our time together. I’m proud of how our students are growing—not just in what they’re learning, but in how they treat others and take care of our school community. It’s a great reminder that we’re all in this together!

Please note our upcoming special attendance days and special events:

Friday, April 18: NO SCHOOL (District Closed)

Monday, April 21: NO SCHOOL (District Closed)

Week of May 5-9: Educator/Staff Appreciation Week

Wednesday, May 14: Prairie Point Alumni Walk (3:15 pictures in front; 3:30 walk the halls one last time)

Thank you again for the ongoing support and care you show our school community. We’re so grateful for your partnership and all you do to help our students grow and succeed—it truly means a lot! We look forward to seeing all of our students back on TUESDAY, APRIL 22!

Sincerely,

Noelle Fahey

Principal

Nurse's Message

We are seeing an increase in minor injuries due to students not wearing proper gym shoes for recess and PE. If your student is coming to school in Crocs, flip flops, sandals, slides, etc. would you please remind them to also pack a pair of gym shoes. If they have an extra pair at the house, they could also leave them at school.

Thank you for your help!

Art Room

Calling crafty families!

The art room has a weekend or evening task for families interested in some unplugged and together time.  Students have been peeling old broken crayons as an optional activity after their work is complete.  These peeled crayons will be melted into recycled crayon cookies which will later be used as prizes in the art room.  If your family is interested in helping, please email Mrs. Collins directly.  I will provide all materials needed including a page of simple directions.  You will have a week to complete the task or you can send it all back if the timing is not right.

Thank you!!

Mrs. Bev Collins

Calling all bakers!

The art room is in need of frosting containers! Perhaps your family needs an excuse to bake a cake.  Maybe your family already has some baking planned. Send any and all 16 oz. plastic frosting containers to the art room.  They are the perfect size for water cups, marker storage and passing out of materials.  Please be sure they are completely empty and clean before sending them to school with your child.

Thank you!

Mrs. Collins

Prairie Point Lunch Heroes

Dear Prairie Point Families:

We are excited to expand our Lunch Heroes volunteer opportunity to our families! Prairie Point Lunch Heroes is a volunteer option extended to parents or guardians, where you can come in for a 40 minute length of time to supervise your child’s lunch and recess time. This opportunity allows you to be a part of your child's daily adventures and contribute to the safe and supportive atmosphere of our school community.

We have had such a positive response that for the rest of the school year, a parent can sign up for more than one time slot if they wish! The sign up is open now.

Your presence during these moments is not only valuable to your child but also enhances the sense of safety, community, and partnership we strive for at Prairie Point. We appreciate your consideration!
More details are located in the event sign up, linked HERE. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being a special part of our extended school family!
