| This Year is a RAINBOW of POSSIBILITIES Hello Families,
We have two more short weeks coming up before heading into the home stretch of May. There is no school Friday, April 18th, or Monday April 21st!
As we transition to longer days and shorter nights, please remember to keep your students active and engaged in school. In a previous message, I wrote about the importance of good attendance as we wind down the year. Thank you for your response, as this week marks our highest attendance rates since early in the first trimester. I appreciate your effort and interest in your students' education! Thank you! Pete Meismer Interim Principal

Student-Principal Communication
We have introduced a Student-Principal Feedback form. Students can fill out the sheet below and turn it in to the office. Mr. Meismer and Mrs. Cure then respond to the student comments. Sometimes the responses inform the students on policies and procedures (Why is recess only 30 minutes?). Other times, we will be able to act on these suggestions (Can we have frisbees for recess?). Students should speak to their teachers if they are looking for a form. |

Spring 2025 State Testing Information We appreciate your investment in your child’s education and want to share with you some information about state and federally required assessments. Federal law requires the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to administer certain assessments to all students who attend Illinois public schools, including charter schools. Please see the detailed letters attached to this communication regarding these assessments. Students will only test in these administrations as outlined within the attachment. Here's a link to a parent letter with more information.
Makeup testing continues this week. Students will be pulled at various times depending on their grade level and tests missed. Our testing window ends this week! |
