SAFE DRIVING AROUND THE SCHOOL NEIGHBORHOOD |
|
|
|
We've noticed increasing concerns regarding speeding and unsafe U-turns along Monarch Grove, particularly during drop-off and pick-up times. The safety of our children and staff is our top priority. Please remember to: - Slow down: Adhere to posted speed limits and drive cautiously.
-
Watch for pedestrians: Be extra vigilant for children and adults crossing the street.
- Avoid unsafe U-turns: Use side streets to avoid making u-turns to ensure everyone's safety.
To help alleviate congestion during peak hours, consider these tips: - Carpooling: Share rides with other families.
-
Walking or biking: If possible, walk or bike to school.
- Staggered drop-off/pick-up: Arrive a few minutes earlier or later to avoid the busiest times.
- Park and walk: Park a block or two away and walk the rest of the way.
Your cooperation in ensuring a safe environment for our children, and for everyone, is greatly appreciated. |

ROBOPLAY CHALLENGE VOLUNTEERS |
|
|
|
We are excited to announce that our first ever Roboplay Challenge is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 8:00 am- 11:30 am. The RoboPlay Challenge Competition is a level playing field robotics competition for students in grades 3-6. It is designed for student teams, based on their math skill levels,
to showcase their real-world math problem solving skills in a competitive environment. This competition features scenario-based problems that require student teams to quickly develop and deploy solutions, using only existing resources with the constraint
of time. The competition challenges students to creatively use modular robots and accessories to complete various tasks. Using their math, programming, and problemsolving skills, student teams try to efficiently obtain the highest score possible for each task on their own. Check out these opportunities to donate or serve as a volunteer to help make this a great event.

April attendance is off to a slow start. Now more than ever, positive attendance is critical. It's time to double down on getting to school every day and being on time to school. State testing in Science, Math, and English Language Arts begins after spring break. We want to make sure all students in 3rd-6th grades are prepared and ready to give their best effort. With less than two months of school left, teachers are working hard to ensure that all students have the requisite skills for success in the next grade level.
