We have Family Skate Night this Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at Roller King! All students skate FREE, so we hope to see you there!
There is NO adult supervision prior to 7:35 a.m., so please do not drop your children off early as it is a safety concern. |

TK - Third Grade Parents - You're invited to our Upcoming Literacy Night Strong literacy skills are essential for student success, and we want our students to thrive now and in the future. Parents across the district often ask how they can best support their early readers. To help you best support your children, the district is hosting another FREE Literacy Workshop for all CJUSD parents and guardians of students in grades TK - 3. You’re invited!!
When: Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 6:00 PM Where: Dudley Elementary School Who: Open to all parents of TK-3rd grade students from any Center Joint Unified elementary school.
This workshop offers practical, easy-to-use strategies for enhancing your child's reading and writing skills at home. Participants will receive free books and a one-year subscription to the Luminous Minds online reading platform. |

We ask that you plan all family vacations and events for the scheduled breaks throughout the school year. However, if your child is unable to attend school for 5 or more days, you will need to contact the office one month prior to your planned departure. Teachers will be notified and an independent study contract will be signed in order for your child to not fall behind in their studies. |

Do you want to wish your child a Happy Birthday on the Marquee at school? Stop in the office, and for $5, your child's name will be displayed on the day of their birthday!!! |

The goal of North Country's House System is to strengthen our implementation of a supportive and engaging environment. Through the implementation of the House System there is constant encouragement for students to do their best. The positive attitudes of students toward one another and toward the school will continue to increase campus-wide.
Benefits of a House System to students: * Being a part of a smaller community helps students acclimate quickly to their school environment and experience an immediate sense of belonging. * Students have a set of true faculty/staff mentors.
* It allows students to have an opportunity to interact with students from all grade levels. It increases opportunities for student leadership. * It reinforces our campus expectations * It can be a source of positive peer-pressure and motivation that can have a positive effect in the classroom. At meetings & rallies, students will have opportunities to enjoy creative expression, physical activity, and social engagement. Music and chants are extensively used to support expression and engagement.
Studies show that schools with House systems have happier, more engaged students and have more school spirit than they did before a House system was implemented. |

Attendance Our attendance rate goal for the 2024-2025 school year is 95%! Be sure your child is on campus daily by 7:55 a.m. daily.
If your child is sick, or does not attend a day of school, please remember to call the office and report their absence within 24 hours. Our attendance rate goal is 95%! Shout out to 3rd grade families for continuing to maintain a 95% or higher attendance rate for the month of March! Thank you for prioritizing being at school on-time, daily! | E-Scooter Safety Sunday: How can your family follow e-scooter regulations? Before you purchase an electric scooter, here are the requirements for operating e-scooters you should know before purchasing/riding. To drive an e-scooter, the operator MUST have a valid learner's permit or driver's license. What does this mean for you and your family? 1) If your child is in elementary or middle school, they CANNOT RIDE AN E-SCOOTER. ----> Only if they are 15.5 years old with a learner's permit, or 16 years old with a driver's license, can they operate motorized scooters. PARENTS, it is YOUR responsibility to know that your child is younger than 15.5 (because they can't have a valid permit if younger), it is illegal for them to ride an e-scooter. 2) NO PASSENGERS are allowed on electric scooters. This means your kids cannot ride on one e-scooter at the same time.
