I was thrilled to attend the grand opening of the new South County Family Justice Center in Danville, co-hosted by Supervisor Andersen’s office. The center serves children, youth, and adults affected by interpersonal violence (IPV) by connecting them with legal, medical, mental health, and economic resources.
This week, I attended a TRAFFIX Board of Directors meeting where the Board approved a special spring discount rate of 40% for new riders on bus routes with space for the remainder of the year.
Gong Hei Fat Choy! May you glide through 2025 with purpose and ease. Happy Lunar New Year to you! |

#WeAreSRVUSD: Cammack Connection |
During this final week of January, I met with our San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF) Affiliates to share information and address questions about support for our school sites. I also attended the ACSA Superintendents Symposium, where superintendents from across the state discussed common challenges, including budget constraints driven by declining enrollment and the end of COVID dollars. It’s clear that we are not alone in facing financial hurdles, and there is broad agreement that increasing base funding is essential to providing the quality education our students deserve.

SRVUSD is proud to have many former students return to the district as employees. These staff members have lifelong connections with our community, and our students benefit! This week, we highlight Chris Pancoast, Campus Monitor at San Ramon Valley High School. |

School Highlight: Deep Learning and Innovation in Action
|
Cal High hosted an unforgettable Tri-Valley Leadership Conference this month thanks to the heroic efforts of ASB Officers Rhea, Chase, Ashley, and Clara. They stepped up to the challenge, even though Cal wasn’t scheduled to host, and In record time, successfully orchestrated every detail, from budgeting and scheduling to securing speakers, entertainment, and food. Their planning paid off as 1,200 student leaders from high schools around the East Bay converged on campus to exchange ideas, inspire one another, generate positive school spirit, and celebrate together. The Heroes vs. Villains theme set the stage for a deep learning experience in finance, event planning, and teamwork — real-world skills in action — no capes required!

We invite the community to come and experience a stunning collection of artwork, from intricate paintings and expressive drawings to cutting-edge digital designs- all by talented SRVUSD middle and high school students. Each piece reflects the imagination, skill, and passion of the student artist and reflects the district’s dedication to fostering artistic expression and innovation. This amazing display will be open to the public until March 28. Don’t miss this celebration of creativity- visit Innovate to Elevate and be inspired!
