I hope you and your families are well. This week has been busy - with parades for Lunar New Year and some 100th Day of School celebrations. Embedded in it all was some great learning and creativity!

State Testing (CAASPP) from 04/28/2025-05/16/2025: Please make sure your 3rd-5th graders are here for testing!
Pick up Reminder:
For the safety of our students, we kindly ask families not to use the gate between Room #11 and Room #12 as an exit. This gate is designated for emergency use only. To help us maintain a secure campus, please do not ask your child to exit through this gate to meet you on the fire trail or in the congregation parking lot.
Students should exit campus through the front gate or via the blacktop leading to the back path toward Alta Vista. Keeping this gate closed is an important part of our safety measures.
Students are welcome to walk from the front gate down the sidewalk to the Kids Country/Congregation parking lot to meet their families. Parents may park in that lot and meet their children at the school’s front gate.

District Updates:
Intra-district Transfers: New Closing Date for Requests (ES)

Each school year, the priority transfer “open enrollment” windows for intra-district transfer requests (when a family requests that their child attend a school that is different from their assigned school of attendance) is as follows:
December 15th to February 15th for middle and high schools
February 1st to March 6th for elementary schools
Traditionally, after the close of each “open enrollment” window, we have kept the transfer request forms open and posted until July 31st.
Moving forward, effective for all intra-district transfer requests for the 2025-26 school year and in subsequent school years, the priority transfer windows will remain the same; however, we will only keep the forms open until May 1st of each year. In-person, SRVUSD Education Center Board Rooms, 699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville.
Hear from a panel of experts from SRVUSD and the community, including the Superintendent, local police leaders, mental health professionals and more. The panelists will be speaking on topics connected to how parents and caregivers can stay informed and do their part to keep our community safe.
