Hello LLESD community,
Our superintendent search firm, Leadership Associates, reported exceptional community response to their outreach for feedback on the new superintendent. The anonymous survey resulted in 507 individual responses from parents, students, community and staff members. Forums (both in person and over Zoom) were held for the community, parents, LLEA, CSEA, and the LLESD management team.
With your feedback, the Superintendent Position Description was created and posted to the district website. Below is an excerpt.

Next steps include two additional board meetings scheduled for March.
March 14, 1pm
The board will review superintendent applications (available to trustees prior to the meeting) and discuss them in closed session. Leadership Associates will also assist the board in the curation of a consistent group of about 12 questions, asked to each candidate during interviews. March 14 will be a closed session meeting to ensure candidate privacy. However, prior to the closed session, an open session will be held to ensure the opportunity for public comment.
March 21, All Day
On March 21, the Board will interview superintendent candidates. The interviews will be conducted in closed session to ensure the privacy of candidates. The system affords LLESD the opportunity to consider the best pool of superintendents, in the event that any of them currently works for another district. It is customary for the board to extend an offer of employment to the selected superintendent candidate on the same day as the interviews.
Have a great week-end,
Paige Winikoff
Board President
