| SD308 11th Annual Food Drive
Kendall County Community Food Pantry FINAL DAY IS OCTOBER 23rd
EVERYONE can donate online the Paypal portal www.kccfoodpantry.org/sd308
Did you know that it costs approximately $40 per day to feed a family of four. That's just one speciality coffee we could skip over the weekend and donate the money to the KCCFP instead and it would feed a family for one day. Just a thought... Here are some things to know: - KCCFP indicates that they service approximately 400 families a week.
- For every $1 that is donated, the KCCFP is able to purchase $8 in product.
- Checks should be made payable to: KCCFP
The KCCFP is also looking for specific items that they have a hard time being donated to them. Families can purchase items directly from KCCFP's Amazon List .
A flyer was sent home with students which indicate items they are most in need of. |

BOULDER HILL HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS! |

The following communication was sent to families October 19, 2024 Oswego Community Unit School District 308 Greetings SD 308 Community,
The Regional Office of Education and our Board of Education recently approved changes to the district’s e-Learning Plan. These changes were made in response to feedback from students, parents, and staff.
The changes are exclusive to grades 6-12, specifically the schedule used for online synchronous learning. The revised e-Learning Plan includes shorter class periods for online learning, leaving time after the class schedule for student support and student work time. The class schedule for High School begins at 8:00 am and runs through 12:05 pm; Junior High begins at 8:00 am and runs through 12:00 pm; both levels continue with student support and work time until 1:00 pm. The plan with printed assignments and choice boards for Early Childhood and Elementary remains unchanged.
E-learning is only implemented in place of an Emergency day in cases of inclement weather or another emergency situation. Deciding to use the e-Learning Plan in our district is not taken lightly—we know students do best in school, but safety is always our priority. If necessary, we strive to give as much advance notice as possible to staff, parents, and students when implementing an e-Learning day. A presentation outlining the plans can be viewed here. The webpage with all e-Learning resources can be found here. If an emergency closing were necessary and an e-learning plan was to be utilized, parents, students, and staff would be notified as early as possible with links to the schedules and resources. We hope that the need will not arise to use the plan; however, we want everyone to be aware of the current plan should it be necessary. As always, we invite you to contact your school’s leadership team with any questions you may have so we can address all concerns. Thank you, Dr. Andalib Khelghati Superintendent of Schools |
