10.18.24

Dear Prairie Point Families:

Our  Kendall County Community Food Pantry FOOD DRIVE is underway ~ thank you for all who have donated so far! You are making a positive difference in our local community!  Please remember that we are accepting food donations through Wednesday, 10/23. Please view the Food Drive flyer with detailed information HERE.

Please review two items that we are still working on addressing at school:

USE OF PHONE/ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

   • Cell Phones/Smart Watches/mobile devices are not to be used by students during school hours unless authorized by a teacher or administrator.

   • If a student brings an electronic device to school, it is to be powered off and inside the student’s backpack during the school day. This includes watches that have communication, Internet, or photo capabilities.

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL:

   • Staff supervision begins at 8:45am. Children should not exit vehicles until supervising staff are outside.

   • Please pull your vehicle all the way forward, following the instructions of the supervising staff. This will help us load as many students as possible into their vehicles efficiently.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be taking place on October 24 and October 25. Remember that there is no student attendance on Friday, October 25.

On October 31, we will be having our Halloween Parade and classroom parties. Please see the Halloween parent letter HERE.

I hope that you and your family have a relaxing and safe weekend. Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Sincerely,

Noelle Fahey

Principal

Walk on Wednesday – Week 3 Results

What an absolutely beautiful, sunny and crisp morning we had today for our third week of W.O.W. Today, 50.7% of our students walked to school. That amounts to 204 Prairie Point students walking to school on this brisk autumn day. Ms. Rothman’s 1st grade had 78.9% of her students walk today to earn the Golden Shoe Award.  2nd place goes to Mrs. Niles’ 4th grade class with 72.7% of her students walking, and 3rd place goes to Mrs. Hoke’s 2nd grade class, with 63.2% of their students walking.

Congratulations to all our Students who Walked to School!
