Hello TK-2nd Grade Families!
I trust you all had a nice Thanksgiving holiday and are looking forward to Christmas Vacation!
What's Important?
All students need to have a backpack and their homework folder with them each day when they come to school. Please be sure your child has these items when they are leaving the house each morning. Now that it is getting cold and wet students need warm coats, closed toe shoes, and a backpack with a working zipper closure. If your child needs a backpack, then please contact the office.
Students DO NOT NEED to bring toys, or other personal items from home. Please check that they DO NOT have extra items filling up their backpacks and pockets.
Please be sure to complete the reading in the Reading Folder and the reading log each night, and send the folder back on Friday. Students who do not complete their reading folder miss out on fun activities Friday afternoon due to having to make up for the missed practice. They are unique to each grade level, so please check all folders!
All students have a homework folder. Please check the homework folder each night to make sure your child is completing their homework. ASP does not ensure that homework is complete or correct!
Pyramid of Success Block for December:
Self Control: "Control yourself so others won't have to." Be in control of how you behave, so others don't have to. Good judgement requires self control of your feelings, too! Take deep breaths and ask for help when your feeling upset or frustrated.
What's Fun?
The BRAVE Experience took a group of kiddos to Dinos Alive Immersive Experience on November 16, in Sacramento! We learned facts about dinosaurs, had a dino VR experience, participated in art and animation, and enjoyed lunch and some time at a park. Fun was had by all who attended!
On Saturday, December 7, 2024 there will be a field trip to tour the historical museums of Oroville.
