A Note From Mrs. Stoffers |
|
|
| Good afternoon,
Don't forget there is no school on Monday, September 2nd. Students and staff will return to school on Tuesday. Have a great long weekend! Your kids have been working hard and have earned a break.
Each year our school creates goals for our staff and students. This year our focus will be on creating stronger systems and teams within our building, deeping our community, as well as focusing on high quality instruction. Throughout the year you will see updates or information on how you can partner with us on our goals.
Catch a glimpse below of our new Gaga Ball pit! The students have been having a blast learning a new game...and, let's be honest, Coach Creek and Coach Lagger too! Please make sure to read our newsletter all the way through. There is a lot of new information included.

We are happy to announce our new mobile device app and website entitled Here Comes the Bus®. Here Comes the Bus allows you to view the real-time location of your child’s school bus on your smartphone, tablet or computer. Here Comes the Bus is free to use, and enables you to: * See the location of your child’s bus both before and after school * Confirm that your child’s bus has arrived at the bus stop, at school or both * Receive a push notification or email message when the bus is near your stop, has been substituted, or when we have important information to relay
You can use Here Come the Bus in one of two ways. First, either download the mobile app by visiting the App Store or Google Play and searching for “Here Comes the Bus” (the app is available in English, Spanish and French). Second, simply visit www.herecomesthebus.com from your computer or tablet.

Today, Friday, August 30th, your child was given the Emergency Day packets #1 and #2 and asked to bring them home. Please keep these at home in a safe place. In the event that we would ever need to cancel/shutdown school for any reason, we would require our students to work out of these packets in lieu of school work for the emergency day. In order for your student to be counted as “present” on an emergency day, a parent signature must be provided on page 2 of the packet and returned to school when we return. Don't forget to add your child's name to the packet!

Also, our Cougar is representing the Blue Casa this week as they are the leading Casa with points after our 2nd full A-E week! Great job, blue Casa! |

We are so excited to start the year off strong with our HSO, and we hope that you will consider volunteering for one of our multiple events this year to help support our kids. If you are interested in volunteering for one of our three classroom parties (Halloween, Winter, and Valentine’s Day), please fill out our Google form here (THIS IS AN UPDATED LINK! We apologize that the link last week wasn't working!)
This should help provide plenty of opportunities for families to volunteer, especially those who have not had the chance in recent years.
