Dear Homestead Elementary Families,
We had an exciting week at Homestead with the kick off for Boosterthon! We are excited for the fun activities leading up to Fun Run next Friday, November 11th. We continue to raise money for field trip experiences, playground bench replacement and teacher grants. Thank you for all your support!
As we head into October I wanted to let you know that teachers are in the process of reaching out to schedule conferences. During this time teachers will be talking about students' progress and ways you can work together to best meet your child’s needs. Conferences are scheduled in a 15 minute time slot. Please make sure to sign up and reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions.
Also, today we had the first lockdown drill with an Aurora Police Officer in attendance. The students did a great job following directions and being safe. We will continue to update with additional drills and see the communication that Mrs. Bobosky sent yesterday in regards to why we do the drills.
Last night we had the kickoff for the sign up for WATCH D.O.G.S.! This year WATCH D.O.G.S. will be helping out during all lunches at Homestead Elementary! Please click on the link to sign up. We are limiting the sign up to three times this year. If you have any questions please reach out to Edward Perry, eperry@sd308.org
Please have an enjoyable weekend!
One Love, One Heart, One School.
