Hello Wildcat Country!
As we move through this new school year, I would like to emphasize the importance of collaboration and active involvement from everyone who considers them a part of Wildcat Country.
By collaborating together, we can create a supportive and nurturing environment where all students can thrive. By participating in school events, families demonstrate to their children that education is important.
Here are a few ways you can get involved: - Attend school events: Participate in parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and other school activities. Don't forget about our Family University events!
If you couldn't make our Family University last Wednesday, let me know why: was the time not good, is childcare a concern, do I need a different day of the week? I'd love any feedback you can provide.
-
Volunteer: Offer your time and talents to support school initiatives and programs. The book fair, jog-a-thon, and running lunch time activities (LTA) for our students is a great place to start! Hey Dads (Uncles, Grandpas, etc!) check out the link here about Watch DOGS! We need you to start this program at EV Cain School: https://dadsofgreatstudents.com/
- Communicate regularly: Stay in touch with your child's teachers to discuss their progress and address any concerns; and don't forget about me! Let me know of something that you think a Principal should know about and to share a positive interaction or experience either you or your child has had.
-
Encourage reading and learning at home: Create a supportive environment for learning by reading together, doing homework, and exploring educational resources. Reading, any type of reading, is the best way to prepare your student, from TK to 8th grade, for academic success!
We've only just begun and have a long way to go! Let's make the most of this year by working together, trying new things, and supporting all students in any way we can--No way is too small!
Blessings, Wildcat Country! Have a great week! Mrs. Christine Mabery
