Dear SRVUSD Families,
School starts again on Wednesday on August 14th! Whether it be ensuring our classrooms are sparkling, bookshelves stocked, supplies ready, and so much more, our staff have been working hard to get ready to welcome your students back. Below is some information that we hope you will find helpful prior to the first day of school. |

Class Assignments and Schedules Available Today |
|
|
Elementary at 12:00 p.m. Noon, and Middle/High School at 4:00 p.m.
Student schedules can be viewed in the Infinite Campus portal, which students can access through ClassLink. Parents/Caregivers can utilize the Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal, also located on their school’s home page header. If you have questions after schedules are released, see your school’s website.

Reminder: SRVUSD has transitioned to using Google Classroom as the primary platform for teaching and learning. Schoology will no longer be used. Google Classroom integrates easily with other Google tools and offers a user-friendly, intuitive interface. This change will enhance the overall experience for students, teachers, and parents/guardians. On the first day of school, Wednesday, August 14, the Technology (IT) team will set up parent/guardian invitations for Google Classroom.
August 14 in the Morning
If you were a parent in a Google Classroom prior to this school year, you will receive an email notification that you are removed as a guardian. This is a step that IT is taking to clean up archived data and ensure that only current designated parents/guardians have access to their students. The student will also receive a notification of the removal. No action needs to be taken. August 14 in the Afternoon
All parents/caregivers currently designated as guardians in Infinite Campus will receive an email invitation with “Join Google Classroom as a guardian…” in the subject line along with your student’s name. You must click ‘Accept’ within each email received to activate weekly summaries and be able to view your student’s upcoming and missing assignments, as well as class announcements. Please note: - Once you accept this invitation, both you and your student will receive a confirmation email.
- You will receive one email for each enrolled student and need to accept each one individually.

If you do not see the email, check your spam folder or do an email search for the words in the subject line: “Join Google Classroom as a guardian”
- If you still cannot find the email, please submit a ticket for IT support.
- No Google Account Required: You do not need a Google account to receive these emails.
- Infinite Campus: You will still use Infinite Campus to access real-time information about your student’s grades, attendance records, and progress reports
