Dear Descanso Families,
As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the celebrations and provide some important information for the summer and upcoming school year.
6th Grade Promotion: Monday morning, we had the honor of celebrating our 6th grade promotion. It was a joyous occasion, filled with pride and excitement as we recognized the achievements of our 6th graders and wished them well on their journey to middle school.
Last Day of School: Classes celebrated their last day with yearbook signing, laughter, and some closing class activities. Despite it being a minimum day, the energy was high, and the hallways were filled with the sounds of happy students bidding farewell to another successful school year.
Summer Construction: Over the summer, construction will begin on the relocation of the front office. This project will affect the parking situation at the school. There will be no bus loop or side parking lot available during this time. Please be advised that all pick-up and drop-off will take place at the car pick-up loop near the county library. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make these improvements to our school.
Important Date - First Day of Next School Year: As a reminder, the first day back to school for students next year will be Wednesday, August 14th. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly.
