Program Highlight: 🌒 Celebrating the Solar Eclipse at Campo Elementary! 🌒 |
|
|
| This past Monday was a day of celestial wonder at Campo Elementary! Although our region only witnessed a partial eclipse, the students and teachers embraced the event with great enthusiasm and creativity. The school buzzed with activities, from constructing pinhole projectors for safe eclipse viewing to engaging in interactive science lessons that explored the fascinating phenomena behind eclipses. Students across all grades participated eagerly, experiencing the thrill of watching the sky transform.
It was a day filled with learning, excitement, and community spirit. We commend our students for their keen interest and our teachers for fostering such an enriching experience. Thank you to everyone who made this event a memorable one at Campo and each of our school campuses across MEUSD! |

Preparing Together: Resources and Support for Statewide Testing Season |
|
|
It's almost time for our students to participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) testing. These assessments are an important tool for measuring how students are progressing in English Language Arts, mathematics, and other key areas.
1. Ensure They Get a Good Night's Sleep:
2. Provide a Healthy Breakfast: A nutritious start to the day can help improve concentration and performance. Every school offers breakfast daily, so arriving on time to school to have time to eat before the big test is a win!
3. Practice Together: Engage with your child in taking practice tests available at CAASPP Practice Site. This familiarizes them with the format and types of questions they will encounter.
4. Talk About Test-Taking Strategies: Discussing simple strategies like reading questions thoroughly and managing time can be incredibly helpful.
5. Stay Positive: Offer encouragement and reinforce the idea that it's okay to make mistakes—it's part of learning!
To learn more about these tests go to the Starting Smarter web page at ca.startingsmarter.org/, or review the Parent Guides to Understanding at cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/ca/parentguidetounderstand.asp.
Testing dates are coming up soon across MEUSD schools, so let’s make sure our students feel prepared and supported. Together, we can help them approach CAASPP testing with confidence! |
