We believe that appropriate dress and grooming contribute to a productive learning environment. We expect students to give proper attention to personal cleanliness and to wear clothes that are suitable for the school activities in which they participate. We use the School Dress Policy as our guide. Rationale In order to promote a positive learning environment and comply with provisions of the safe and violence-free school initiative, Oak Hill Elementary School has established the following School Dress Policy. Oak Hill Elementary School Dress Code
Students, grade K – 6 enrolled in the Oak Hill Elementary School, in the Center Unified School District, are to adhere to the following dress code: - Shoes are to be worn at all times. Shoes must have a closed toe and some cover on the back of the heel. Crocs must be in sport-mode.
-
Clothing and jewelry shall be free of writing, pictures or any other insignia which are crude, vulgar, profane or sexually suggestive or which advocate racial, ethnic or religious prejudice or incite violence or the use of drugs or alcohol.
- Hats, hoodies, beanies or other fashion head coverings are to be worn outside of the school building only. When outside, hat bills should be facing forward.
-
Mid-thigh length shorts, dresses and skirts are acceptable (approximately fingertip length).
- Halter, tank and midriff tops, low back and/or front sundresses and/or loose armhole shirts are unacceptable. Tank top straps should be at least 1 inch wide.
Parents will be called to provide appropriate clothing if and when the dress code is not adhered to as defined above. Clothing will need to be brought to the school the day of the infraction. We encourage the parent volunteers to adhere to this dress code. |

Our attendance rate goal is 95%! Below you will find the attendance rate for every grade level for the year. Thank you for making sure your child's daily attendance is a priority. Help make sure your child is on campus by 9:25 AM daily.
Absenteeism is a lost opportunity to learn. We can’t afford to think of absenteeism as merely a lack of compliance with school rules. How many days of school has your child missed? |
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the front office at 916-338-6460. Otters, Otters, Otters! Rah, Rah, Rah! With Pride, Parveen Saenz, Principal Silvia Tovar, Vice Principal |
