Hello JR. Redhawk Families,

We have had a great week here at Campo! 

Awards Assembly: Today we celebrated some amazing students in each class that excel in academics, sportsmanship and character. We are so proud of all of our Campo Jr. Redhawk’s and are happy that we get to celebrate their accomplishments! 

Spring Break: It’s here! We start Spring Break next week. We will see you all back to school on Monday, April 8th. We hope you have a fun-filled two weeks off!

Spring Fling: We are planning our upcoming Spring Fling event for Friday, April 19th. We will share more information soon!

Open House: Please put Open House on your calendars for Thursday, May 23rd. We are excited to share great things that we have done throughout the year.

Attendance: We have a new way to report attendance! If you go onto our Campo Elementary Website (https://ca.meusd.org/), there is now an attendance button so that you can report an absence online. We hope this helps parents contact us when students will be out.

Mountain Empire AYSO Registration Opening  April 8th

Computers2Kids Event April 6th

The San Diego County Office of Education and Computers2Kids are hosting an event for families to purchase affordable computers on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Julian High School, 1704 Cape Horn Avenue, Julian, CA (Drive Thru Event).

Since the beginning of the 2023-24 academic year, the partnership between SDCOE and Computers2Kids has provided refurbished computers to San Diego families. As of March 2024, they have provided approximately 3000 refurbished computers to over 1,300 San Diego families. We hope your families are able to benefit from this event.

Celebrating the Amazing Women at Campo Elementary

Thank you to Mrs. DeVaux's class for recognizing all the wonderful women at Campo Elementary. 

Mrs. Alves and Mrs. Hobson's class also proudly displayed their "Women in History" box projects in the front of the school in celebration of Women's History Month.

3rd Grade Zoo Field Trip

Our 3rd Graders earned a field trip to the San Diego Zoo this week. They a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the zoo and see spectacular animals.   

Awards Assembly

Congratulations to all our outstanding Jr. Redhawks recognized today at our 2nd Trimester Awards Assembly. There were so many photos of the event today, here are a few of our 5th and 6th grade classes. 

Congratulations Mrs. Hobson's 4th Grade Class

Best Attendance 03/18/2024 to 03/22/2024!

Her class is the winner of our weekly attendance trophy. Excellent work getting 98% attendance this week! Congratulations to Mrs. Hobson's class for earning a pizza party this week for attendance as well. Excellent job spelling out "P-I-Z-Z-A" for every day your class had 100% attendance. 

Campo Jr. Redhawk Rising Stars

Our Jr. RedHawks' continue to shine bright each week showcasing how to be "safe, respectful, responsible and kind" students. Campo Elementary Teachers are recognizing Campo Jr. Redhawk Rising Stars each week.

Start Thinking About Yearbook!

Our annual yearbook cover contest will start Monday 02/12/2024 through March 20th. Students can submit their best yearbook cover design to the front office. We will display your art for students to see and announce a winner after Spring Break!

Pantry Partners 

Every other Friday after, our school partners with San Ysidro Health to provide bags of food pantry items for any interested families.

Pantry items will be available for pick-up at the school. Students in 2nd - 6th grade will be able to take items home on the bus.
