Student Council- open to 4th and 5th graders. One representative will be elected per class and will meet once a month to plan fun activities for our students.
Prism Club- Is your child looking for a space to connect with peers and truly be themself? Check out Quail Run's Prism Club! Prism Club will be starting on September 16th and will be hosted every other Friday during the 4th and 5th grade lunch and recess time, from 12:10-12:50. The Prism Club will be student led, but facilitated by Ms. LeMay and Ms. Unruh, two of our teacher coordinators. Each week students will play games, listen to read alouds, and engage in discussions surrounding gender identity, LGTBQ+ history, ally ship, and respect. Students are encouraged to share as much as they are comfortable with sharing, but will not be asked to share more than they are willing to. Together, as a club, our 4th and 5th graders will make it a space for everyone to feel welcome and connected.
Junior Librarians-Ever wondered what Mrs. Howard does in the library during 5th grade lunch recess? Become a Jr. Librarian and find out! Quail Run’s Jr. Librarian program will begin in a few weeks and is open to all 5th graders.
5th graders who become Jr. Librarians are assigned specific days to come help Mrs. Howard in the library during one lunch recess per month. It’s a great opportunity for students to work together and learn new skills that will enhance their library knowledge and experiences.
